Esperienza davvero piacevole alla Risotteria Melotti. I risotti sono curati, saporiti e preparati con ingredienti di qualità, si percepisce tutta l’attenzione per la tradizione e per il prodotto. Menzione speciale a Matteo, il cameriere: gentile, professionale e sempre attento, ha saputo consigliarci al meglio e rendere il servizio impeccabile. Torneremo sicuramente! Crostone di riso con tonno fresco e puntarelle un inizio fantastico per poi proseguire con la scoperta del risotto con coda alla vaccinara, una bomba buonissimo, ho chiuso con una perfetta crema catalana!!

I had a bad experience at Risotteria Melotti Roma, and I wouldn’t recommend it—especially to other Black and Brown diners. When my friends and I arrived, the staff told us we couldn’t be seated without a reservation, even though the restaurant was about half empty. We asked if we could book a table for later that night and were told nothing was available until the next day. When we checked online ourselves, we were able to reserve a table for an hour later, which made it feel like we’d been brushed off. When we came back for that reservation, we were told to wait outside. Once we were seated, the service stayed rough. The bread tasted stale and was dropped on our table with little care, and the risotto was undercooked. I wanted to ask for more water, but our server was nowhere to be found for most of the meal (felt ignored). Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hi Neloy, Johnny, and Malakai, I’m truly sorry to read about your negative experience — I’m responding with complete transparency. First of all, I want to be very clear: at Risotteria Melotti there has never been, nor will there ever be, any kind of treatment based on race or origin. All of our guests are welcomed and served equally, without exceptions. The situation you experienced was not influenced by anything other than the fact that, at that moment, the restaurant was fully booked and our reservation schedule was not perfectly updated. That’s why you were initially asked to come back the following day; then you were able to book again 30 minutes later, when a table became available. We’re sorry if our handling of the situation felt confusing or impolite — that was certainly not our intention. Regarding the table service, I apologize if it did not reflect our standards: it’s essential to us that every guest feels cared for and welcomed. The same goes for the risotto and the bread: if they didn’t meet your expectations, we will take that feedback seriously to improve. I sincerely invite you to come back whenever you wish — I will personally ensure that your experience reflects both our reputation and the respect every one of our guests deserves.
