The hotel itself was lovely. The alpine style rooms were adorable, tidy and clean with multiple amenities! But what lets this hotel down is the hospitality. Many of the girls were not friendly, impatient and had a bad attitude and this definitely dampened our experience.

We loved this hotel! We liked the location, the staff was fabulous! We booked a room with the Matterhorn view and were happy we did. Inspiring views. The air conditioning was great, so many other hotels in Europe have air conditioning but it’s lacking, not here. The room was nice and cool which was lovely on warm days. The beds were comfortable, amenities great, hotel was full of Julen family touches everywhere. We booked a half board package and were thrilled with our choice. The Food was amazing, servers were fabulous! The owner stopped into the restaurant one evening and chatted with each guest. We will be back! Service: 5

We unexpectedly found ourselves in Zermatt during an unusual and tense time in April 2025, and we truly cannot thank the team at Tradition Julen Hotel enough. Despite the challenges—no electricity, high emotions, and general chaos—the Julen family went above and beyond to make us feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. The hotel itself is beautiful, immaculately clean, and run with a professionalism that’s matched only by the warmth of the people behind it. Rebecca and Sophia were so generous with their time and energy, offering support, calm, and fairness when it was most needed. It’s rare to find a hospitality team that truly cares this deeply about their guests. We’ll absolutely be back—next time by choice, not by serendipitous inconvenience—and we’ll be recommending Tradition Julen Hotel to everyone we know.
