Just ok. Nice atmosphere, good service, but good uneven. lamp chops were overcooked and flavorless. Pastas were good not great. Best entree was pasta with mussels - flavorful. Others were rather bland. Cheese appetizer, not remembering the name (but obviously wasn’t called that :) ) was excellent. The lush garden setting of this restaurant at the front of The Rome EDITION hotel is a welcome surprise, while more conventional inside seating looks very comfortable too. The food is Italian with a modern spin and a starter of beautiful burrata was especially delicious with three variations of tomato: a tartare, sorbet and consommé. I was dining alone and had excellent service from staff who kept me entertained without intruding. The rooftop bar is well worth a visit for an aperitvo or digestivo before or after dinner. I returned for a coffee while out for my morning walk the next day and thoroughly enjoyed the setting and service again – the extensive breakfast menu looked delicious too. We enjoyed this restaurant immensely while exploring Rome, but we discovered an issue after leaving: we were charged 1,300 euros more than what we actually spent. Please be cautious of potential fraud here. Our total for dinner and a bottle of wine was around 200 euros. We are currently addressing the matter with both the restaurant and our bank and hope for a swift resolution. At the end of our meal, our male server informed us that we couldn’t tip through their kiosk and wouldn’t receive a receipt. As this was one of our first stops in Italy, we didn’t question it at the time, but in hindsight, we should have been more vigilant.
