Part of a small chain of vegetarian / vegan places in Zurich. Very good food, drinks and a welcome relief from overcrowded restaurants during the weekend we spent there. We got take out 2 nights in a row, and enjoyed eating in one other time. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I went to roots a few times during my stay in Zurich and tried several items for breakfasts. The queens porridge is better than the apple one, the banana bread is better than the lemon loaf, and the cranberry bread shaped like a scone really surprised me—a nice mix of sweet and savory. The cold killer tea was really good and exactly what I needed, but I wish they put hot drinks in mugs to make it easier to hold them (it was the same with a hot matcha latte). The prices do hurt, but it’s Zurich. I wish there had been pancakes available on week days. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CHF 20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
