Dopo una lunga passeggiata attorno al Migros Museum fur Gegenwartskunst, prova locale per una gradevole pausa. Non c'è niente di meglio che farsi servire gli ottimi focaccia e involtini. Se ti piace un delizioso caffè, potresti apprezzare WIM Bakery.

The plants. In fifty countries, across establishments ranging from a sultan's private terrace in Muscat to a rather sinister speakeasy beneath a laundromat in Bratislava, I have never — never — encountered a strelitzia of such audacious, almost offensive magnitude. It stopped me mid-sentence, which, as those who know me will attest, is no small feat. 8.9 out of 10. Greatness of this scale demands stewardship, and those leaves — magnificent as they are — have been left to fend for themselves. A strelitzia that touches the ceiling deserves, at minimum, someone who notices when it's struggling. Neglect, even of the passive variety, is still neglect. The coffee. Competent. Honest. The sort of cup that doesn't try to be your friend. 7.8. I've had worse in far more expensive places, and that is, genuinely, a compliment. The pastries, however, have been cooked with what I can only describe as committed recklessness. Beyond crispy. We're talking structural failure at the molecular level. Shards, really. Edible archaeology. Now — and here is where it gets interesting — I asked about the daily special. A simple question. The kind of question that, in a civilized world, is met with enthusiasm, or at the very least, words. What I received instead was a rolling of eyes so theatrical it very nearly moved me to applause. I have been betrayed by oligarchs. Abandoned in Minsk. Left off a guest list in Monaco that still stings. But a rolling of eyes from a server? That, my friend, is your cue. You fold your napkin, you finish your structurally compromised pastry, and you leave them to their quiet misery. Which is precisely what I did.

really love Wim Bakery, the pastries are excellent, and the atmosphere is really nice. It’s one of my favorite bakeries in Zurich, and I’m there almost every weekend. The only concern I have is hygiene. I’ve noticed that staff sometimes handle baked goods directly with their hands when serving customers. This could be a health concern and may make customers uncomfortable. I kindly ask you to please consider this and encourage staff to use tongs or clips when handling pastries. I’m sharing this because I genuinely enjoy coming here and would love to see this small improvement. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
