Sempre una garanzia, personale gentile ed attento, location rinnovata di recente con gusto e stile, cibo fresco con abbinamenti molto interessanti. Non è il solito sushi o il solito ristorante fusion, sushi&sound è molto, molto di più. I don't usually write reviews if there is something negative, I simply don't go to the place in question anymore, however this time I was really disappointed for a number of reasons. Here is the detail of my experience, with the hope that it can be used to improve the place. I would like to point out that, in the booking, I had specified that it was an anniversary. Not happy, on the morning of the same day of the reservation I wrote to the restaurant reiterating this and asking that a candle be brought to me at dessert time, as a surprise. The restaurant replies "No problem". ENVIRONMENT AND WELCOME: 3/5. Standard welcome, nothing special. I am quite disappointed by the environment, very small. From the photos on the website it seemed like it was bigger and, above all, it was more suitable for a romantic dinner (on their website there is also a "Romantic restaurant in Milan" section which deceived me). Instead none of this, the environment is a normal, quite elegant AYCE style environment. SERVICE: 2/5. We're not quite there with the service. The only saving grace is when they brought us the wine (among other things, not the one we requested as it was not available) as the waiter explained the characteristics of the wine. Everything else needs to be reviewed: we order 2 starters (2 tartare), 2 first courses, 2 second courses (roll). They bring my starter alone, my girlfriend's shortly after. It would have been much better - and obvious - to bring them together (it was a couple's dinner). The first courses arrive together, but while we are eating the first courses the rolls arrive immediately. I feel like I'm in an AYCE where they bring everything together. We don't even have time to enjoy the food. Once the first courses were finished, we immediately started eating the rolls (they were already on the table), the waiters passed by the table numerous times but no one took away the dirty plates of the first courses, leaving little space on the table. I'm the one who has to ask the waiter to take away the dirty dishes. While we eat the rolls, the waiter starts cleaning a table next to us by spraying disinfectant whose strong smell clearly reaches us. I understand in an AYCE, but also not in an à la carte restaurant. Dessert: Surprise, there is no choice left, only 1 dessert to split in two, take it or leave it. We accept, but in an à la carte restaurant I expect something else. Ah, remember that only a few hours earlier I had asked for a candle on the cake and the restaurateur had replied "No problem"? Well, no trace of the candle! Anniversary surprise ruined. FOOD: 3/5. The food was overall good but the portions were too small, especially compared to the price. ACCOUNT: 3/5. As already mentioned, too high based on what the restaurant offers and the experience received. CONCLUSION: if you are already in the area it could (perhaps) be worth it, but going there on purpose (like we did)... no, there is better.
