We had a few nights stay. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early and everything was already ready. The breakfast is rich, served quickly and filling. The hotel is located directly on the street, but if you close the window you don't hear any traffic (rooms on the side of the street). The view of the lake can be enjoyed from the dining room or from the balcony. The staff/owners were always friendly and helpful. Rooms: The rooms are sufficient and the balcony is nice. The water pressure in the shower is really low and there is quite little light in the bathroom. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator (minibar) in the room, but there is a small kettle. Our room was quite small, but just adequate and looked pleasantly decorated when we entered. The cleanliness of the rooms is also excellent. Nearby activities: The bus takes you easily to the surrounding towns, where you can do more than in Leissigen. However, it is definitely more fun there in summer as you can do more activities on and in the water. Safety: You feel very safe. Walkability: The local “mom and pop shop (Volg)” can be reached quickly and has the essentials there. The shop is also open on Sundays. The hotel is right next to the bus stop, which is also an advantage. The lake for swimming or walking is also very close. Hiking trails can also be started directly from the hotel. As far as we know, the hotel is the only restaurant in town that is open at the beginning of April. Food & drinks: We only ate there once. The food was delicious, but the price was clearly too expensive for the quantity received, even considering that it is a tourist place. The portion didn't fill me up, but I didn't want to order anything else for the price. You will be much happier in the larger town of Interlaken.
