The Hotel Meielisalp staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and clearly care a lot about this place! The hotel has a very homey feel with a cozy Swiss chalet aesthetic. I especially appreciate how accommodating the staff were during my stay: - I arrived before check in time, but they allowed me to leave my luggage at the hotel. - After arriving, I asked if the hotel shuttle could take me to Interlaken West, which I needed to get to ASAP in order to get to Habkern on time. One of the staff members immediately said “yes, let’s go!” and took me to Interlaken with the hotel shuttle. I honestly did not expect that the staff would agree to take me all the way to Interlaken given that I was 1 person and the shuttle is meant to transport 6 or more people, even with such short notice, and yet they did! - I did not arrive back at the hotel to check in until after 8pm, and yet one of the staff members waited at the hotel so I could complete check in, even though it was extremely late in the day. - On the day of check in, when returning to the hotel at the end of the day, I arrived in Leissigen by bus, but I did not want to walk another 40 minutes from Leissigen to the hotel. I called the hotel ~30 minutes before arriving in Leissigen to see if they would pick me up from Leissigen with the shuttle. Once again, the staff were quite accommodating and willing to transport me with the hotel shuttle on a short notice! The work that the staff put in to maintaining the hotel is palpable, and their willingness to accommodate my specific situation on the day of check in was extremely kind. I will definitely stay here again!
