A very good and beautiful taste experience. The demands are very high at this level (200 francs per person), but even the little things that stand out count. First of all: the dessert made of chocolate mousse, quince and salted caramel was an absolute dream. I found it difficult to make out the individual components of the starters, which is a shame because the eye eats too. The venison from the main course tasted a bit too gamey for me, and the porridge was too dominantly sweet. All nuances, but just noticeable. All in all, it's not differentiated enough for me, so unfortunately it doesn't get five stars. It was also nice that several wonderful kitchen greetings were given and an additional dessert was even served. Wine: that was perfect, great advice from Nicolas Schumnik for the red wine for the main course and the dessert wine, the latter in particular was really exceptionally good. Ambiance: new, beautiful, modern, although perhaps not particularly individual to be remembered. Panoramic windows seemed a bit blind at seat height, whether they were dirty from rain or for another reason, we don't know. Since it was dark, that was of course bearable. One more comment about the overall situation: Nicolas Schumnik and Ronny Zipfel will take over from Vreni Giger. The two of them do this with a lot of commitment and passion, even in direct conversation at the table, and we wish you much success and all the best. Ms. Giger also stopped by the table briefly, but only with a short sentence, without a personal introduction and certainly not with a brief exchange, while at the next table she behaved completely differently (there were probably regular guests or friends of the house there). Since we didn't know Ms. Giger, we could only imagine that it was her. So we didn't feel like we were being treated as "expectant" regular guests. Then it's better to avoid something like that, because the group of "acting" main characters, in this particular case Mr. Schumnik, Mr. Zipfel, Ms. Giger, concludes the evening and thus also shapes the final impression. Rigiblick, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Burrata with pumpkin and walnuts for a starter. For the main course that day, we had beef sirloin steak and fillet of pike perch with saffron risotto and sugar snap peas. The meal ended with apricot sorbet and crumble.
