Dec 2024 • only I would like to start by saying that the restaurant asked me for the wedding cake only 6 days before the event, due to a senseless internal organization and given the inability of the pastry shop to make it in such a short time, since it was very elaborate, I provided all the God damn the world, only 2 days before the event to find another one that was remotely similar to the one already chosen. Together with the owner of the very kind and helpful pastry shop, I found an "alternative" cake that was beautiful on the outside but... surprise surprise, guess what?! Unpleasant on the palate!!! With a squat, rubbery thickness of sugar on the outside and a tasteless cream inside. I asked guests why they didn't eat it or didn't finish eating it, then having tasted it I understood since I also make desserts, being a lover of them. A rubber-sticky cream contrast that no guest appreciated and digested. The best moment of the wedding lunch should be the cake, but I believe it should also be the best and most memorable, positively and not negatively, especially at the end of a very expensive lunch.
