Has to be 5 stars! And incredibly well deserved. Fabulous stay from start to finish. The hotel has a lovely ambience and the staff were, without exception, all wonderful. Helpful and friendly welcome from reception on arrival, a beautifully furnished and well appointed room with the most comfortable bed, lovely and extensive breakfast buffet with eggs and coffee made fresh to order. We missed having a fridge in the room. But that was all. Located at the one end of Grindlewald it is quieter, but still traffic passes by, so do expect noise from vehicles and pedestrians. The bus stops right outside. Finally the tasting menu. What a spectacular 'event' and a showcase of local delicacies and high end foods. Relaxing atmosphere, candlelight, and top chefs being allowed to do what they do best! Honestly the highlight of our holiday and the dishes and delightful staff will remain in our memory forever. The wine flight was the icing on the cake. Lars is a genius and orchestrated our evening. A stroke of genius with timing, friendliness, knowledge and kindness.

Our evening at the Hotel Restaurant Fiescherblick was one of the highlights of our recent trip to France and Switzerland. The food was thoughtfully crafted, expertly cooked and beautifully presented using local Swiss ingredients, and most importantly was simply delicious. Chef Aurélien and his staff are to be congratulated. My favourite (though very hard to choose) was the Alpine pike perch with charred green beans. Superb! The restaurant was both elegant and comfortable and the service was exceptional. Lars and Matthias were charming hosts and the rest of the team were professional but at the same time extremely friendly and relaxed. A really nice balance. Lars even offered to drive us back to our accommodation after our evening had finished. This was very much appreciated given our accommodation was a short walk up a very steep slope. Exceptional service! We look forward to returning and staying in the hotel next time. Thanks for a wonderful evening :) Service: 5
