Consigliatissimo, molto bello su tutti i fronti, l'unica cosa un pelino fuori dal centro ma con una passegiatina alla fine arrivi ovunque. Anche il ristorante, spa e massaggi ottimi.

I’m not sure I can fully express how grateful we are for this magical place in just one short review, but I’ll certainly try! We stayed at the Matthiol for our elopement in January, and this hotel far exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, we want to sing the praises of the entire staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming, warm, and accommodating. It truly felt as though they were excited for us, which made the entire experience feel even more special. Every request we made—whether it was a plug adapter, a steamer for the room, or even having them steam my wedding dress for me—was handled with care and efficiency. They went above and beyond to make everything seamless. A particularly thoughtful touch was when they opened the bar early so my now-husband had a place to relax while I finished getting ready. When we returned from our elopement on the mountain, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated room with rose petals, a single rose, and an exquisite towel display. It was a gesture we will never forget. For our wedding night, we enjoyed a cheese fondue experience in the private huts in front of the hotel, and it was absolutely delicious! The charcuterie board was massive, so definitely come hungry. The beef tartare was a highlight, along with the truffle cheese fondue—just wow! As for the room, it was worth every penny. We booked the Spa Double Room with a view of the Matterhorn, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The view was breathtaking (I’ll be sharing a photo to showcase it). The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the soaker tub was huge and luxurious, with a perfect view of the Matterhorn while relaxing in it. The in-room sauna was an added bonus and was perfect for unwinding after a day of snowboarding. Also, I want to mention that although this hotel isn't right in town, there is a free electric run bus that runs to and from town about every 15mins. There is a very easy to use app that makes this process very simple. And even if you are out later than the bus, the walk back is only 15mins. All in all, our stay at the Matthiol was an unforgettable part of our elopement experience. We cannot recommend it enough and look forward to returning one day. Thank you Hotel Matthiol and Staff!!
