I popped in for a quick bite to take on the train, the bagels caught my eye. Cream cheese or lachs (Laax), well I decided to go for lachs. Imagine my surprise on the train to discover that it was Laax (vegan) and not lachs in my bagel. Despite that I do have to say it was tasty, but for over 10 CHF I'm not happy. Without the expensive lachs, what am I paying for? Also what's up with the confusing naming? Love what y'all are trying to do, but I do feel scammed.... Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Thanks for your feedback, Timon! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the bagel, even if it wasn’t what you expected. Bakery Bakery is 100% vegan, which we do communicate, but we’re also aware that people often automatically assume products like Lax or Pastrami contain animal products. Part of our goal is to challenge exactly that assumption and show that familiar flavours can work just as well plant-based, without compromising on taste. Our prices reflect the quality of our ingredients and our aim to produce as responsibly as possible. We’re happy the Lax Bagel still managed to surprise you with its taste! :)
