For perspective we had reservations at several Michelin guide places and other famous restaurants in Zermatt. We enjoyed Avena SO much we came back a second time. The Peidmont style beef tartare was a standout - order it even if you’ve never had beef tartare. The green salad was so delicious with the excellent house dressing. We also enjoyed the osso bucco special. Price per person: CHF 70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Off the busy Main Street of Zermatt. The service was excellent. The food was even better. The beef stroganoff was the best meal I had while in Zermatt. The waiter matched the perfect wine with the meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went for dinner tonight to this lovely restaurant and were completely surprised. We went for the wild card menu option with 3 courses and it was delicious. Starter was boiled beef carpaccio, main was a venison in a chanterelle cream soup sauce with res cabbage and spinach spetzle. So good! Dessert was an apricot sorbet. We were fortunate to sit next to a friendly Swiss couple who we had great conversation with. The server (from Mallorca, Spain) was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great experience.
