I came here because someone suggested to try the croissants. The first time I came at 11 am and they were sold out of everything and the place was empty. However I still ordered an “iced flat white”. It was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. It had two tiny ice cubes and it melted quickly. I don’t mind paying for good quality, but that was not it. $4 was quite the rip off. I suggest going to Forno Brisa down the street for a proper iced coffee beverage. The second time I came before 10 am and there was a long line (I don’t understand it since the Google ratings are terrible). I asked the girl working there if I had to wait In the line to get a pastry for takeaway, and she rudely stated they don’t do takeaway. I don’t think I’ll be giving this place a third chance. I give 5 stars because you can't get more. I was this morning March 23, 2024 at allegra, in Bologna, I'm a breakfast lover, I look for the best places that exist to experience new flavors and I can't help but praise this place. upon arrival there was a queue outside, but it was fast and flowing, it's not huge but attention to detail was taken, I went inside because everything outside was busy, The work is divided in an optimal way, one person who takes the orders, a couple who bring things to the table and clear the table, two people who make the coffees. Despite the queue, the boy who takes the order takes the time necessary for the people in front of him, which is not to be taken for granted. Let's get to the dishes, when I came to choose there were 3 types of brioches and 3-4 other sweets plus a savory one. To drink I took an apple juice, evidently of an organic brand and of high quality, not a particularly vast choice but .. I chose the brioche with cream and pan u chocolate, unique quality. Both leavened, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, generously filled but without overdoing it, the cream brioche moved me. I didn't have any coffee or cappuccino to drink but only an apple juice, very high quality and very fresh. As a lover of breakfasts and croissants, for me it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Every time I pass through Bologna I hope to have time to stop and visit them. Place already decreed as a place of the heart. I hope with this review I don't raise expectations too much, even if so... they will be able to maintain them.
