This was probably my first 2-star restaurant review, and it's a frustrating oneābecause the potential is clearly there. The food itself was decent (around 3 stars), and our server was wonderfulāfriendly, attentive, and doing his best under difficult conditions (easily 5 stars). But unfortunately, the management let both him and the customers down. The restaurant was chronically understaffed, and on top of that, they made the baffling decision to seat guests outside as well. This meant our one excellent server spent most of his time running back and forth between the kitchen and the terraceāinstead of being able to focus on service inside. The result? Our food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive, and it felt like our order had simply been forgotten. Literally, every time we mentioned we were not going to wait any longer and would take the check instead, the food arrived in less than a minute after that. The same thing happened with dessertāit only came after we asked to cancel it and requested the bill. If you don't have enough staff, the obvious solution is to limit seating to the indoor area only. That would reduce unnecessary movement and improve service for everyone. In short: great server, okay food, but terrible management decisions ruined the experience. I hope they do something because the team deserves better support. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

Just had the chicken biryani at New Bombay Zurich and it hit the spot! The biryani was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and had that authentic taste we crave. You can tell the cook really knows his stuff - smart work in the kitchen ā On top of that, the staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Great service + great food = solid combo. If youāre in Zurich and craving good Indian food, New Bombay is worth a visit. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
