Vieni qui per un pasto dopo aver visitato il Torre Diamante. Assaggia piatti della cucina giapponese in questo ristorante. Porta le persone che ami con te per mangiare i curatissimi risotto, calamari e anguilla. Lo chef di questo locale propone ottimo gelato. Secondo l'opinione dei visitatori, qui servono dei vino, champagne o sherry secco davvero deliziosi. Quando vai al ristorante IYO Kaiseki, devi assolutamente provare i fantastici latte macchiato o tè.
Il piacevole personale lavora duramente, ha un atteggiamento positivo e rende questo posto meraviglioso. Rimarrai sicuramente soddisfatto dello spettacolare servizio. Ti piaceranno certamente l'atmosfera eccitante e l'arredamento carinissimo. È un ristorante una stella Michelin, riconoscimento che viene di solito attribuito perché vengono proposti piatti deliziosi.

I had dinner last night with my girlfriend at IYO Kaiseki for a birthday gift card. The location and the restaurant are wonderful, very well looked after and with a very interesting and pleasant play of mirrors and lights for a dimly lit dinner. We tried the chef's tasting menu (€140 per person, 6 courses) to try the restaurant's strong dishes. Given the amount spent, I honestly expected to be more impressed by the dishes. The courses that remain imprinted in the mind are very few, in particular the squid with quail egg, the suckling pig cooked at low temperature and the dessert (sublime). Many courses were average but not exceptional as expected from a place that presents itself with these standards (the only one starred in Italy for Japanese fusion cuisine). In my opinion, at least in the tasting menu, which should be the business card of a restaurant, they could be a little more daring, including other dishes to leave an indelible memory for the customer. For example, we found the sushi and sashimi good but not exceptional, and then served on a plate that was truly ugly to look at. Very attentive and impeccable service in every aspect. To conclude, we believe that the quality of the food vs. the price paid could be improved, perhaps the location of the restaurant and all the surroundings have too much of an impact. WOULD YOU GO BACK? If I had to pay the entire bill NO, for €280 dinner we expected that extra touch that we didn't find. Speaking of the taste experience, we are pleased to take this opportunity to clarify that IYO Kaiseki is inspired by the Japanese gastronomic kaiseki tradition, a culinary journey that celebrates seasonality and harmony through balanced dishes with attention to the smallest details. It is a cuisine that stands out for its delicacy and for the attention to the balance between flavours, textures and presentation, characteristics which therefore make it different from more contemporary Japanese cuisine. Regarding sushi and sashimi, their presence in the kaiseki menu is therefore limited, since they do not represent the essence of this culinary style. If your interest goes more in this direction, we recommend you visit our IYO Restaurant in Via Piero della Francesca 74 in Milan, where contemporary and creative Japanese cuisine is the protagonist. We are pleased that several courses left a positive impression on you, but we also welcome with great attention your comment on the courses that you found less impactful: we are constantly working to refine our proposal, always maintaining a high level of attention to seasonality and tradition.
