Perfect evening. We hadn’t seen our friends for a year and the atmosphere in the restaurant allowed for conversation to flow and the wine kept flowing too. The wine flight accompanying the meal was fantastic and each wine explained by the staff. The food itself was delicious. Our standout course was the first course of lobster with fennel and the the accompanying wine was perfect, in fact also our favourite of the night. The salsify second course was very clever and nice to have something one doesn’t eat at home. The veal was melt in the mouth alongside a vibrant green risotto. I’m not a pudding fan and prefer cheeses however the rhubarb was delish! To top off a fantastic evening, all 3 of the people looking after us were attentive, spoke to us in both German and English and made a great evening better. The restaurant 'Unico' in Zug is really 'Unico'. We had a super great evening with very friendly staff. The selection of wine matched very well with the different courses. The food was unique and very tasty. I can highly recommend the restaurant and will be happy to visit again!
