We went to Taverna Russo for new year’s eve dinner. They offered a very nice menu including several courses and different types of great wine. Great atmosphere with skilled waiters. There was a 7 year-old kid with us and they brought her a more kid-friendly food that was very delicious, if not better than our food. There was a dj who played very good music. The good thing was that music wasn’t too loud so we could enjoy it but at the same time talk to each other. At some point before the main course there was a little party and then we continued enjoying our food. We had a great time at Taverna Russo and next time we are in Siracusa we will definitely visit this restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Taverna Russo has officially become my favorite restaurant in Ortigia! I’ve visited three times already—that says it all. The ribeye is truly world-class, an absolute must-try, and the service is very heartfelt and personal. Exceptional dining experience. We found Taverna Russo on a walk near our hotel and made a reservation in person for that same night. The wonderfully welcoming staff brought us complimentary prosecco and a tasty amuse bouche and helpfully offered to translate the Italian menu. The menu is extensive and the food is very good; we especially enjoyed the fresh and flavorful ceviche. The restaurant is in a gorgeous renovated palazzo and we definitely recommend a visit for an upscale meal.
