Absolute Perfection! The Best Tacos in Zurich, Hands Down. If you are looking for authentic, soul-satisfying Mexican food in Zurich, look no further than Tacos Ramiro y Macario. I had a brief stopover in the city last night and stumbled upon this gem, and honestly, it was the highlight of my trip. The restaurant is owned by Sara (from Jalisco) and Miguel (from CDMX). You can immediately tell they are a powerhouse couple—Miguel brings an incredible sense of creativity and entrepreneurship to the place, while Sara brings the culinary magic. Both of their families have deep roots in the restaurant industry, and Sara’s inherited recipes and sazón (flavor) shine through in every single bite. I ordered a plate of tacos al pastor and another of birria. The quality and depth of flavor were absolutely top-tier. But what truly blew me away was the homemade corn tortillas—they are an absolute masterpiece, perfectly textured and fresh. To top it all off, they have a salsa bar where every single option is better than the last. It’s rare to find this level of authenticity and execution in Europe. Huge congratulations to Sara and Miguel for bringing something so special to the city. These might just be the best tacos in Zurich. I am already planning my next visit, and next time, I’m bringing the whole family! Must-try: The Pastor, the Birria, and don't skip the salsa bar!
