Suggestiva location in una corte. Servizio e staff efficiente e gentile. Menù anche vegetariano. Ottima la piadina vegetariana. Buoni i malloreddus alla campidanese con chips di pecorino. I culurgiones fritti non mi hanno entusiasmato e la salsa di pomodoro era poco saporita per i miei gusti. Il dolce di cui purtoppo non ho foto, torta rovesciata alle pesche era davvero insulsa, un simil pan di Spagna non fresco con pesche sciroppate, non all'altezza della cena e del locale. Per tal motivo ho dato 3 stelle e lo abbiamo comunicato anche al cameriere che aveva chiesto un nostro giudizio sul dolce. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €80–90

Our recent evening at Sobat Restaurant Fine Dining in Villasimius was nothing short of extraordinary. We embarked on their exquisite 7-course tasting menu, perfectly accompanied by a vibrant bottle of Spumante, setting the stage for a truly memorable culinary journey. The meal proved to be an enriching experience in more ways than one. Amidst the flowing wine and delightful ambiance, my partner and I found ourselves engaged in a lighthearted linguistic debate: how best to describe a truly sublime dish in Italian? Are we enjoying an ottimo piatto, an ottima portata, or perhaps an ottima pietanza? The restaurant manager graciously intervened, explaining with great charm that all three expressions are entirely valid, each carrying its own subtle, refined nuance. Whichever terminology one prefers, we were presented with a succession of these masterfully crafted creations. The culinary pinnacle of our evening included a remarkably delicate carpaccio di polpo and an inventive fritto elevated by a striking liquirizia (licorice) crema. The execution of both dishes was flawless, demonstrating a profound understanding of flavor and texture. The standard of service throughout the evening was impeccable—attentive, highly professional, and seamlessly orchestrated. Yet, the undeniable highlight of the dining room was Sara. (Forgive the indulgence, gentlemen, it is a male author penning this review! ) She was absolutely radiant, bringing an effortless elegance and a warm, constant smile to her work that genuinely elevated the entire atmosphere. As the evening drew to a close, the manager shared a beautiful detail: the name "Sobat" translates to "family." This revelation resonated deeply, as one can palpably sense the synergy of a highly cohesive, passionate team operating behind the scenes. It was an exceptional dinner from start to finish. Sobat earns an unreserved 5-star recommendation from us, and we are already looking forward to our next visit!
