Every time I take the train to Montreux and look down at the Seythours Buvette, it reminds me that I've wanted to visit this place off the beaten track for years. The final push to visit this restaurant was a recommendation from a work colleague. So, together with my wife, I took the train to Les Cases station on a gloriously warm summer's day. The 10-minute walk alone is beautiful. When we arrived at the Buvette shortly before midday, most of the seats on the small terrace were still free. After a short time, the slightly reserved waitress came to take the order. Was it because she couldn't understand my pitiful attempt to order in French or because it was already very warm again, in any case this lady wasn't exactly in a good mood to host. Her mood changed abruptly when I told her that this restaurant had been recommended to me by a friend of mine and a regular customer of the Buvette. So far so good. The beef steak and macaroni we ordered were served with a pleasant friendliness. We enjoyed the food very much. The salad in particular was excellent. I will certainly come back until I have eaten my way through all the dishes on the menu.
