Stayed here for 3 nights so we could soak up Swiss atmosphere and see the Lionesses in St Gallen. Can honestly say it's one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in and I am quite well travelled. All the rooms are perfectly appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect, all kinds of cheeses, cold meats, yoghurt, muesli, jams and honey, lovely bread rolls, pastries, scrambled egg and bacon. All the staff are absolutely charming. We spoke a lot of (tourist) German but their English is superb as you would expect. It's a few minutes walk into town and the harbour one way, and the lake a few minutes walk the other way. Would LOVE to come back here! Service: 5

The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is elegant and harmonious. The kitchen delivers exceptional dishes, ensuring a truly delightful dining experience. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend. Service: 5

I don‘t like writing negative reviews but I don‘t understand why you would run a Restaurant-Hotel with no-one on site. Check-in process involved a strange key swap system and it was only by pure luck that I had wedged something in the door and didn‘t get locked out. No-one told me I needed to keep swapping the keys back and forth until I was already back outside trying to talk to management via the intercom after getting cut off once and then having left a message. Also no proper place for bike parking and nowhere to charge the bike. Was all a bit exasperating. Breakfast was ok I guess. And if you don‘t happen to have a bike it might all be better. Service: 2

We always strive to inform our guests about the check-in procedures in advance; however, due to the booking being made through a third-party provider, we sometimes only receive limited contact information. Additionally, on days when our restaurant is closed, our reception is not continuously staffed in the afternoon, which may have contributed to the inconvenience you experienced.
