We wandered in here at opening and were instantly greeted and made to feel welcomed. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We were recommended the avocado crostini and wine based on our individual tastes. Literally everything we ate was heavenly. The pasta was the best I have ever had and the mango sorbet for desert just topped it all off. Highly recommend. Will be coming back here when we come back through Zurich. Thank you!!!! After arriving from Salzburg, I was craving a little taste of home—real comfort cooking—and Ristorante Zafferano delivered in every possible way. The maître d’ was kind enough to offer me his very last table, and from that moment on, I felt completely welcomed. Speaking Italian with the staff immediately made me feel at ease, and every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious throughout the evening. I started with the burrata and pomodorini in EVOO—the olive oil alone deserves its own applause. Truly outstanding. For my main, I ordered the osso buco with saffron risotto, and WOW. The risotto was so rich, silky, and luscious I could have happily bathed in it. Absolute perfection. An exceptional meal paired with heartfelt hospitality made this a memorable experience from start to finish. Grazie mille, Zafferano—bravissimi!
