Cucina molto buona pero chiederei allo chef di aggiustare la sua dose di sale tutto un po salato. Il sale per chi lo ama si puo sempre aggiungere ma per i restanti rimmarra una pietanza salata.

I hiked here with my friends during April, spring season. We stayed at the hostel here and also had breakfast and dinner at the Restaurant le 1209, both are in the same building. The view from the restaurant, terrace and around the building outside is just breathtaking and magnificent. In this sense, the restaurant is situated in a really prime location. The room we stayed in had 10 beds (bunk bed style) with lockers (lockers didn’t have a lock). The room itself wasn’t huge, one door window that lead you outside to the beautiful view from the side. A little cramped, but luckily we were only 8 people in a 10 bed dormitory, so we had a little more space. The showers and bathrooms were located in the hallways outside of the dormitory. They were both really clean and in mint condition. The indoor lounge interior was fancy and elegantly decorated. You could relax while admiring the nice view. Or go outside on the terrace and enjoy a breath of fresh air. The restaurant area also has a cozy but stylish design and glass walls to see the mountains outside. The dinner we had was average in taste, but very very expensive. We took the full course with the entrée, main meal, and dessert. For me personally, the entrée (small fish soup) and dessert (Panna Cotta) was the best. The main meal (Rognon de Veau) was okay. Breakfast was great, but would have liked to have more croissants per person. The staff were polite and friendly. All in all, I would recommend the view and location of this place, but the restaurant not so much, the food isn’t worth the high prices. Service: 4
