Posto magnifico dove avere un pasto tranquillo, il personale è estremamente cordiale e accogliente, la relazione qualità-prezzo per quello che viene servito e come viene servito è piu che ragionevole, consiglio di provare “black risotto” almeno una volta. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €15–20

Visited Pier Bistro Split on June 18, 2026, with my wife at around 11:00 AM. It was a very hot summer day, and we were looking for a place to sit down, cool off, and enjoy a coffee and a drink. What surprised us was that the restaurant was completely empty. There were no occupied tables on the terrace, no guests inside, and even the surrounding venues were relatively quiet at the time. When the waiter approached us, we politely explained that we would like to order coffee and drinks. As soon as he realized that we were not planning to order food, he told us that this was not possible because the restaurant expected guests to eat. He explained that it was not his personal decision, but rather a rule set by the owner or management, and that he could get into trouble for allowing guests to sit without ordering food. As a result, we were asked to leave the restaurant. We fully respect that every business has the right to establish its own policies. However, refusing service to polite customers who simply wanted to order drinks and coffee—especially when the restaurant was completely empty—felt disappointing and unwelcoming. During our travels, we have rarely encountered such an approach. We are sharing this experience honestly so that other visitors can make their own informed decision. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
