We ate the Local tasting menu. We are disappointed because the flavors are not balanced at all. Raw shrimp grown in Switzerland, as they say, were completely inedible. This is one of the worst experiences in Michelin restaurants, because I had to dine in almost darkness, the table was not lit at all. It seems that the Michelin was awarded not for the food, but for the luxurious environment. The waitress who served us was completely unable to control the situation and started showing her superiority. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We had a wonderful dining experience at Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni on Thursday, September 7th, 2023. The food was fabulous and our waitress, Eleanna Perdikari was absolutely superb. She was fantastic and is wonderful at her job. If we are ever in Zermatt again, we'd definitely come back and experience this treasure again. The only complaint we had is that dinner took 4 Hours (yes, 4 hours). It was a very nice restaurant and great ambiance, so we anticipated it taking a couple of hours, but four hours was just too long (not the fault of the waitress). It has been a very long day for us traveling in from Zurich, walking around Zermatt, etc and we needed to get up early the next morning. My only recommendation to the restaurant would be to either: A. notify customers beforehand that dinner will take 3-4 hours or shorten the dinner time by a couple of hours. We were falling asleep in our chairs by the end of the evening (11:00 pm). With that said, fabulous restaurant and again, Eleanna Perdikari was superb. She was very intelligent, did her job extremely well and fascinating to talk to . Frankly, I wish we could have spend an hour over drinks with her outside of her work just to get to know her and her life story.
