I have driven by this restaurant run by the organisation Gastro Vaud thousands of times over the past 20 years. It was not until this third Friday of February 2026 that I finally decided to stop for lunch. One of the missions of Gasto Vaud is to help unemployed restaurant workers reintegrate their profession. The place is open for lunch from Monday through Friday and La Pinte offers three different daily choices, one of which is vegetarian. There is also a short à la carte menu including one of their all time favourites, filet of perch like it should be in this part of the world. The staff is plentiful and very pleasantly present. Food is good and related to the season. Overall, good value for money. My only real concern is the origin of some of the products on offer, like farmed salmon from Norway and, in particular, shrimps farmed in old rice fields in Vietnam where the shrimps feed on hormone containing excrements from chicken raised along these salted waters. I would have preferred to pay a little more for products that do not contribute to destruction of agricultural land. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 40–50

I ate at La Pinte Vaudoise for the first time and will return as soon as possible. Quality service, unbeatable value for money, a superbly presented and delicious dish! I highly recommend and look forward to returning!
