Our group ate here one day on the recommendation of our guide, Pietro Draghetto (“Peter Drake”), and our panel gave this place a good report in the online chronicle that they kept of our trip.
This is truly a “high school” for those eager to learn about the local cuisine – anyone who doesn’t like this joint should be “banned”! Great location, delightful staff, reasonable prices, clean facilities, marvellous food … what’s not to like? I could give you 57 varieties of reasons to visit, but I personally raved about the seafood!!!
I have to praise the “professional conduct” of our waitress (we called her “Queen Elizabeth”, because she was her lookalike!), which contrasted with the mild misconduct of one or two of our slightly rowdy members – we were none of us au courant with wine or fine dining, but she was very patient in guiding us through the menu – she made a wonderful “teacher”!
So, thanks for the tip, “Peter Drake”!!!

I've been in this restaurant with a group. The service was really profissional and the room was quite nice. About the food everything was really interesting.
This restaurant hold a special place in my heart. My first visit to this place was with my brother and parents when I was a teen. The food was so good, If the waiters yell at each other, keep out of it... especially if you dont speak Italian... its not about you.
I went back several years later on different trips. Still as good as ever...
Now my son is traveling with his girlfriend to Italy.... and I have told him to go to this restaurant..... as we might make it a generational thing now..
I really liked the carbonara they served. Service was very very kind, the hostess really stood out. It's a well decorated, classy and elegant place. Well done.
Il Piccolo Mondo in Via Aurora, storico ristorante della Dolce Vita, ora interamente rinnovato e arricchito da una cucina innovativa dall’importante quota marinara. Il menù cambia con le stagioni, molto buone le “pizzottelle” fritte che vengono portate insieme ai diversi antipasti.
Consigliate le mezzelune ripiene di gamberi e ricotta di bufala, al profumo di menta e, di secondo, il fagottino di spigola ripieno di carciofi, patate e mandorle tostate.
Absolutely wonderful experience, our waiter Massimo was incredibly accommodating. The food was delicious and gourmet, top tier service and the white chocolate dessert we had (Mont Blanc) was the best dessert we ever had. Fresh food and delicious! Atmosfera davvero molto elegante, personale cordiale e super educato, un ringraziamento particolare a Valerio, di una professionalità incredibile, veramente molto apprezzata. Parlando dei piatti, consiglio vivamente i taglioni burro e alici del cantabrico con batttuta di tonno e pane atturrato agli agrumi. Sono partito da Viterbo per provare questo ristorante, e tornerò sicuramente. Nous cherchions un restaurant avec une cuisine italienne mais plus élaborée. Il était près de notre hôtel, nous n’avons pas été déçus. Cuisine excellente avec le choix entre le traditionnel et « gourmet » c’est à dire à leur façon. Les deux sont excellentes. Le service est impeccable et très sympathique, le lieu est convivial tout en ayant chacun son intimité. Un sans faute pour il piccolo mondo, nous avons adoré. Una sera a cena in questo locale consigliatomi dall’hotel, abbiamo prenotato con the fork applicando il 50 per cento carbonara abbondante con guanciale croccante, saltimbocca molto speciali e polpette gustose. Gelato al pistacchio per finire. Cameriere giovane, alto e biondo purtroppo non conosco il nome, è stato davvero gentile e competente. A friend chose this restaurant for his wedding reception. We were 40/50 guests and we all felt pampered by the staff, Valerio's precision for every little detail and attention to every particular food request and Antonio's professionalism who always served us with a smile. The dishes were one better than the other, compliments to the entire kitchen who worked at a crazy pace that day. I will definitely return for a more intimate dinner with my family. I chose *Il Piccolo Mondo* to celebrate my graduation lunch, and I couldn't have made a better choice. From the first moment, the staff demonstrated truly rare kindness and helpfulness, making me feel welcomed and pampered in every detail. One of the strong points is certainly the atmosphere: elegant but intimate, with a private room reserved just for me, which made the lunch even more special. The dishes were simply delicious, prepared with care and attention both in the quality of the ingredients and in the presentation. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated the chef's willingness to create tailor-made alternatives for me, without making me feel "excluded" from the menu choices. The quality-price ratio is excellent, especially considering the high level of service and cuisine. I highly recommend *Il Piccolo Mondo* to anyone looking for a fine restaurant in Rome, whether for a special occasion or for a quality gastronomic experience. I will definitely be back! We wanted to thank Mr. Stefano, Mrs. Diana, Valerio, the staff and the Chef. For the availability and kindness who served us and recommended delicious and unique meals for our wedding day; (our guests liked them too). The seafood salad, the pork fillet and the salmon fillet were a huge success , The tiramisu which is one of my favorite desserts and delicious!
