We visited yesterday (saturday) for dinner for the first time after hearing so many good reviews from our colleagues and friends. The food was good but the service left a sour taste. There was only one server but the restaurant was not busy there were only few tables, it took him 15 min to give us a menu card and once we gave the order, the guy was nowhere to be seen. We wanted to order more drinks during our meal but it was hard to get his attention. We also wanted to see the desert menu but then decided against it and left as soon as we finished the meal. Another thing that we noticed is that the server let the new guest sit on the already “used” table that had dishes and glasses. The guest had to remove the napkin of previous guest in order to sit comfortably. Then the guy came with the new set of cutlery and napkins and asked the guests if they could make bit of room for him, so they had remove everything in front of them so he can prepare the table. This is very odd and strange, i mean its not a cheap restaurant. The prices of the dishes are rather on higher end given the quantity so i assume restaurants also include service fee when they set those prices. This whole experience left a very bad impression of the restaurant. Some say that they were better in their previous location but i can’t judge that, was never there. However, i did try the new greek place at their previous location, we loved it.. from food to service everything was really good. Actually thats the reason why we wanted to go to Parea because we only heard good things about it. Anyway…. They really need to improve their service if they wanna bring more guests because for a Saturday evening they were not that busy. Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 70–80
