I had a salad and some sea bass fillet. For the price the menu was too simplistic and uninteresting. Plus I asked for a glass of wine which was not served from the bottle.

Dear Michelangelo, Thank you for your visit and for sharing your feedback. We understand your point — our menu can appear simple at first glance. This is a deliberate choice: we focus on a short selection of dishes built around fresh products and careful execution, rather than offering a long and overly complex menu. Sometimes simplicity can feel… a bit too simple, depending on expectations. Regarding the wine, traditions matter to us. Here in Valais, it is very common to serve house wines in carafes (1dl, 2dl, 3dl, up to 5dl) — something you will notice at many local tables and behind most bars. This is how we served your glass, in line with regional customs. Of course, when selecting a bottled wine — even a 3/8 or 5dl — it is always presented at the table, allowing you to fully appreciate and evaluate it before enjoying it. Traditions are important; they connect us to our roots and define the experience we wish to offer. We wish you a wonderful day and hope to welcome you again at PAPILL’ON. Pico - Owner

We had a table of 8 of which we ordered items including steak, fried chicken, fondue, and raclette. The fondue and raclette was good and the cheese portion was big. The steak came on a hot stone so you have to cook it yourself which some of us did not like Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 40–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
