Maccheroni della casa con ragù e formaggio locale davvero buoni e saporiti,cotti al punto giusto, fish and chips gustoso perché fatto con il filetto di orata anziché il classico merluzzo,orata grigliata con contorno di verdure e patatine fritte molto buona,caffè espresso discreto. Prezzi nella media per l'isola.

Host: Received informative communication from the host as soon as we had booked. It included boat options to/from Dubrovnik, check-in details, location, etc. Throughout our stay the hosts made sure everything was as it should be. Location: After researching where to stay on Mljet, Pomena won. We got the boat from Dubrovnik to Polace. Despite what websites say, there was no bus between the two towns. It is walkable, about 4km, or you can hire a bike (one way Polace to Pomena is an option as one rental company operates in both). It was hot and we had backpacks, so we got a taxi to the apartment (€15). Pomena is a stunning wee town, and I highly recommend it for a base to explore Mljet. Pansion Matana is literally beside the entrance to the national park. From the apartment it's about a 15-20 minute walk to get to the small lake (low steps up and down) The apartment is a few minutes walk from the promenade. It's a beautiful place to base your exploration of Mljet. There is one small supermarket in Pomena, however it is currently closed. Lots of ATMs. Bike hire. There are ample restaurants of various cuisines to eat from, so we didn't miss not having to cook! Apartment: Perfect. There were steps up to the apartment, so ba backpack or small suitcase is preferable. We loved the view from our balcony watching the sun set. The apartment was well kitted out for any length of stay. One thing I would've liked was a shampoo/body wash in the shower (we travel light so usually have to use what's available in our accommodation) There was an issue with the flow of water on our first morning, but before I'd had a chance to contact the hosts, they contacted me, and the issue was resolved by the time we had eaten breakfast. Price: Very good value for money. Conclusion: The apartment was perfect. The location was perfect. The hosts genuinely lovely. What more could you want?! No issue recommending.

A lovely little apartment in a cute village, and the owner - Inka - was very helpful and accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend!
