Non solo merita di visitare il Castello di Meleto ma anche Osteria Di Meleto. Carpe diem – la cucina italiana ti sta aspettando. Ottime tagliatelle e tartare possono essere quello che ti ci vuole. Se vuoi provare delizioso chianti, questo ristorante è una buona scelta.

Pleasant dinner and good food. Excellent service, the waiter was very kind and professional. I didn't appreciate some things, one of these is the fact that, despite the reduced menu (which in general represents a pro for me because it means enhancing the selected dishes) they still served products with * (frozen based on availability). Another small thing, however relevant if you consider €80 for 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer, a first course and a second course, is that there were paper napkins. Discover the Charm of Tuscany at Osteria di Meleto – a must-read review! I love surprises, especially those that bring rewards in the form of delicious food and beautiful views. This is what happened when I first visited Osteria di Meleto. And it was very close to Gaiole in Chianti. I was taken there for dinner without any prior notice, and the lack of reservation added even more spontaneity to the visit. Especially since in such situations we are always accompanied by our dog, which promised an interesting adventure. We arrived at a picturesque osteria, off the beaten path, right next to a vineyard. From the very first moment, this place exuded an atmosphere of history and tradition, which is not surprising considering that it is part of the Castello di Meleto estate - this castle has a long history of wine production, dating back to the 11th century. The castle, vineyard and osteria create a coherent whole that you can feel immediately after arriving. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we managed to get a table on the indoor terrace. Our dog was not a problem at all - what's more, it turned out that there were several other dogs in the Osteria, but the staff arranged the guests so that the dogs did not get in each other's way. This is a nice and rare solution. When it comes to food, we decided on regional dishes - pasta with ragu and tortellini with salsiccia, which were sprinkled with truffle slices (tartuffo). Plus, of course, wine from a local vineyard. For dessert, there was the classic tiramisu. The service was fantastic - discreet, yet always ready to help. A few days later we returned to taste more local wine in the bar area of Osteria, available to people who want to try different drinks (including the regional Gin). This place offers the opportunity to relax with wine and antipasti on weekends. Practical information: • Parking: available across the street, opposite Osteria. • Reservation: recommended for dinner, especially on weekends or with a larger number of people (it is worth mentioning the presence of a dog). • Wine: available by glass (from 6 Euro) and bottles (from 19 Euro). You can also purchase wine to take away. • Prices: main courses cost from a dozen to twenty euros. Coperto 3.50 Euro/person. Osteria di Meleto is a place that combines unique flavors, excellent service and the unique atmosphere of a Tuscan vineyard. It's definitely worth visiting!
