From December 2022 until Sep2023 I conducted a a solo exploration of the other side of the world; EU, UK, Turkey, Cuba, Morocco, Egypt, Balkans etc. I come from the norther wilds of Australia and only speak English. Throughout my journeys I struggled to find good food and friends, as I set a furious pace to experience “my other side of the world”. There were few exceptions to this self imposed asylum. However, I would like to relate the story of a truely exceptional highlight of my 9 months wandering. In the thriving city of Napoli there is a most wonderful small street food restaurant by the name of “NOVITASTREETFOOD”, via Pietro Colletta 14. This family based tasty affair has been ably led from success to success by son Gennaro. During my week in Napoli Gennaro, his Mother, Father and Brother fed me like a king and embraced me like family. This was just what I needed to rejuvenate a travel weary soul. I will forever be indebted to these most wonderful and generous ambassadors of Napoli for their kindness, grace, humility and delicious fare. I sincerely hope to visit again. Long may NOVITA STREET FOOD reign!
