My husband and I, having come from Rome, but close to Milan for work, wanted to experience this place - already known for television reasons - intrigued by the Cuban/Caribbean cuisine, atmosphere and food and, I must say, the reality exceeded all expectations and imagination!!! The location is beautiful, from the expertly dosed lights, from the Cuban music so politely in the background, from the furnishings so carefully chosen with the chandeliers with crystal drops, to the cocktails, to the dishes so tasty and "comfortable", in the sense that every bite caressed with taste the soul pervaded by "Latin warmth"... what can I say... already sitting at our table we said to ourselves: we'll be back anyway!!! Vast choice of dishes, give them starters, main courses of stewed or shredded meat, breaded or grilled fish and shellfish, each course with its accompanying side dish (rice, fajolada and yuka), desserts with Cuban rum which also dominates the sauces...the cocktails are divine, expertly prepared on the counter behind you, by the kind and attentive wife of Pedro the chef, oh my, they are truly delicious!!!! fried plantain...a perfect match and then taste "how good" written exactly like that, a unique and unrepeatable creation of the house!!!! impossible to describe everything, it's like a journey of tastes, you have to experiment!! that's the right word to dedicate yourself to a truly unique evening at Monckey's and feel like you're in Cuba!!!
