The pop-up with the Hong Kong style food was fantastic, the caterer hosts the food separate from Milieu. The dishes were well-seasoned and the absolute highlight was the char siu pork and the shrimp toast. The rice is a bit low quality (dry, not fragrant). The inside of Milieu is tiny and it was really cold sitting outside, but at least there were blankets to keep warm. BUT. We literally just got back home, when we were hit with an e-mail from Milieu / Aleno.me that they „noticed we didn‘t attend our reservation today and they‘d like to ask us to cancel next time“. This is the first time in any establishment I’ve visited around the world where guests haven‘t even digested the food yet and are met with an attitude like this, when we‘ve clearly just left the restaurant half an hour ago. Such level of pettiness is almost aspirational, were it founded in truth. Although the food was exceptional, we don‘t feel encouraged to come back here again.
