Ottimo menù e prodotti del territorio con pasta artigianale e piatti curati. La pecora era cucinata benissimo e dolcissima in fundo il cannolo con ricotta e zafferano una vera delizia. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If you find yourself in L’Aquila and want an authentic Abruzzese dining experience, do not miss Mandolò in Centro. From the moment you walk through the door, you are treated like family. The wife, who manages the front of the house, is the perfect host—elegant, charming, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Her passion for hospitality sets the tone for a wonderful meal. The husband is the talented chef behind the kitchen, and their daughter provides attentive, friendly service that makes the entire experience feel personal and special. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was prepared with care, showcasing the flavors and traditions of L’Aquila. The Angus steak was so incredibly good that after finishing my first one, I ordered a second. Yes, it was that delicious. The wine selection was excellent, but what impressed me most was the house wine. Often an afterthought in many restaurants, here it was absolutely fantastic—smooth, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The atmosphere beautifully reflects the history and character of this gorgeous city, creating a setting that feels both refined and comfortable. Even more impressive is the value: exceptional food, wonderful service, and excellent wines at very reasonable prices. Mandolò in Centro is everything a family-owned restaurant should be—authentic, welcoming, and memorable. I cannot wait to return. Highly recommended.
