Recommended to visit? Absolutely, Trattoria Lamm is a "must-go" for good, relaxed dining during a holiday in the Passeiertal or Meran. Reason for visiting? As regulars, we have been coming here for years whenever we are in South Tyrol. My (subjective) takeaway of the restaurant and audience: The Lamm exudes a pleasant, well-kept inn atmosphere and remains casual despite its very good gastronomic level. Locals and visitors gather here for lunch or dinner. The long-term ownership by the Fontana family ensures a pleasant consistency. Was the food delicious? Absolutely, homemade nettle pasta, tartare of local beef, and (very tasty) baked veal tongue. Accompanied by an excellent local Blanc de Rouge sparkling wine (traditional method from Vernatsch grapes!!) by Hartmann Dona. Service style? The Fontana family has been running the Lamm for years with friendly expertise, personally attending to guests. Friendly, professional, and very informative when it comes to questions about food/drinks. Price-performance ratio? Very fair for the quality and quantity offered, although prices have increased significantly in South Tyrol in recent years. Starters €8 - €16, main courses €16 - €29. You can tell that the dishes were primarily made for the guests and not for profit. We spent around €35 per person for salads, main course, sparkling wine, and coffee. Atmosphere? A well-maintained casual inn atmosphere. All generations, visitors, and locals gather here. The focus is clearly on the food. What did I like specifically? The food is almost always great, and you simply feel well taken care of and comfortable. Would I visit again? We come regularly. Tips/Comments: It's better to make a reservation!! There is a small car park directly opposite with ample parking spaces. Otherwise, park down by the main road near the tennis courts. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian dishes, especially Pasta. I am sure the kitchen also accommodates reasonable customisation requests. Parking: Directly opposite the restaurant is a public parking garage offering 3 hours of free parking. Access is wide and easy, with ample parking spaces available. Alternatively, there are parking spaces along the main road, approximately 150m walk from the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: They provide kids' seats, menus, and plenty of space. Feel free to bring your toddlers along without hesitation. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance may be narrow, but the restaurant is situated on the ground floor without steps, making it wheelchair accessible. Additionally, there is a conveniently accessible, pleasant street dining area just opposite the restaurant.
