Non è un ristorante che consiglierei, soprattutto ad italiani. Il. Servizio molto attento, ma non ho trovato un cameriere che parlasse italiano, capisco di essere in una località turistica, ma così fate sentire gli italiani fuori posto. Cibo ok, pezzo buono per la zona, il vino da 5€ venduto a 25€ è l'unica nota dolente. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60

La Nuova Piazzetta Navona: Stellar Service and Atmosphere, But the Food Missed the Mark We visited La Nuova Piazzetta Navona specifically because of its incredible 4.9-star rating, expecting a truly exceptional meal. While the restaurant has many strengths, the food quality for the non-pasta dishes was a significant letdown, preventing this from being a five-star experience. The Positives: The atmosphere is fantastic—charming, beautiful, and exactly what you hope for in a Roman trattoria. Even more impressive was the service, which was genuinely warm and attentive, easily ranking among the best we encountered in Rome. The Disappointment (Food): Unfortunately, the culinary execution for half of our table was highly disappointing. We started with the Tagliere La Nuova Piazzetta X 2 Persone (charcuterie board), which was sadly sparse and unremarkable. We've had superior boards at numerous other spots in the immediate area. For the mains, my son and I experienced major quality issues. • I ordered the Scaloppina Ai Funghi E Crema Di Tartufo (Pork Loin with Mushroom and Truffle Cream). What arrived was a drastically different dish: pork loin drowned in a thin mushroom broth, with no hint of truffle or the rich, creamy sauce promised in the description. The pork itself was heavily overcooked and rubbery. • My son's Bistecca Alla Piastra (Rumpsteak) was sliced unusually thin and served closer to medium-well instead of the requested medium-rare. It's worth noting that my wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed their pasta dishes. My wife got the Pasta Fresca Al Pesto and my daughter got the Bolognese Con Pasta Fresca. They both reported the pasta was cooked to perfection and tasted great. My recommendation to future diners would be: stick exclusively to the pasta. Finally, the end of the evening was unexpected. When paying inside, I was asked to leave a tip—a request I have never encountered in my many dining experiences across Italy. While the service and setting are truly wonderful, the misleading and poor execution of the main courses, coupled with the subpar appetizer, makes it impossible for us to give it the same rating that others have come to experience.
