È una trattoria molto carina. C'è anche un giardinetto delizioso, dove è possibile gustare dei piatti favolosi. Il servizio è eccellente. Infatti vado a mangiare lì molto spesso. Consigliatissimo! Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I am a frequent customer, so I can give a precise and honest opinion of what "Porrati Carbonata" really is. Located a few steps from Piazza D'Azeglio and Piazzale Donatello, this restaurant is really not very obvious, you only notice it if you happen to pass in front, composed of two "sporti" as they say in the old way in Florence, it is composed of two internal rooms, one completely renovated and made efficient and welcoming; with a desk station, very bright and clear. Another room is made up of tables, a very quiet and intimate place during the winter. a room is dedicated to the wood-fired oven, for pizzas and grills. The kitchen is small and efficient. The level of cleanliness is within the norm and well taken care of. The restaurant has a small garden and a veranda area where in summer we are covered by the sun's rays, and in winter it is closed. The service is very familiar, made up of two waiters, who really go out of their way to satisfy the customer, both with perfect English, spoken fluently and with a very polite and hospitable manner. They listen a lot and follow the customer step by step, perhaps too much, sometimes the customer "has to fly alone, don't you think"? but...in the end all was well... Let's talk about the menu, very small but engaging, it speaks Tuscan, with interesting dishes, appetizers with quality cold cuts, cuddles made on the spot by the chef, very well designed first courses, personally always served edible and of very good quality. Note of quality is the meat which is very good and appetizing, the owner at the helm of the embers is undoubtedly a master, we should go just for that, he told me that the supply of the raw material is local, it comes from Fiorenzuola and I must say that it is good.. The pizzas alternate from the ordinary ones to the special ones that you will only find here, the dough is very good, the cooking is always punctual, thank goodness they stopped cutting the pizza at the time of service, there was always the risk of eating it cold.. the offer of wines is present, also a small session of craft beer, I tried the various beers, they are very good, but a little expensive compared to the size. The red wine with the Porrati label is of good quality. A very welcoming, simple, familiar environment, where you can live and share a unique experience for a couple of hours, even three. The advantages are many but I didn't give the maximum in my evaluation, because there are also defects. Fundamental for some?...completely negligible for others. Unfortunately I have to point out when the place gets full there are some slowdowns in the service which causes waiting, which can certainly be improved... The price follows the trend of the economic crisis and rising prices and here only the State can deal with it... I notice a lack if I may, that of a fixed lunch menu for workers or tourists at lunch. maybe it could be useful. Personally, I consider La Carbonata del Porrati my good alternative to a missed family dinner, an outing with friends and corporate work meetings, where the banquet and the intimacy of the place help with the quality of the food, the friendly efficiency of the service , the friendliness of the owner to spend some nice moments of relaxation... The Carbonata ??? Of course I will gladly go back... (mmmmm the maialona and tropea pizzas are good)....yum yum. Go in the early evening it's the best time. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
