The owner of the restaurant usually insults the guests, swears, would fight, the restaurant is a pesinluk, it smells like dogs, the restaurant is full of cats and dogs, and the inspection will also remind you of the sanitary. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The worst restaurant in Croatia. The food is tasteless, dogs and cats walk around the kitchen and tables. The owner of the restaurant swears at the guests. The kitchen and the restaurant are messy. It stinks for a kilometer. Animal hair found in the food. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This outstanding restaurant was such a wonderful find!!! We had a celebration event with six people in our group. The food was outstanding, exceptionally tasty, with the simplest and ALL-NATURAL ingredients. The highest quality veal and lamb under "Peka", all kind of specially prepared (and very juicy!) mixed vegetables for vegetarian lovers. And then the lamb soup!!! Gentle with no overwhelming lamb aroma and a home made from scratch pasta. We have never tried anything so tasty before - that was BTW not on the menu, but was another surprise of our dear hosts and a result of their creative cooking process!!! Appetizer was incredible (not speaking about the presentation): fantastic cheese, out-of-this-world domestically prepared prosciutto and fresh vegetables. Hot, hot, just baked traditional bread with no additives in a combination with "kajmak" (traditional diary product that is by a taste a mixture of cream, cheese and butter), was to dye for. Desert was specially prepared for us as another surprise: two different cakes for each of our guests: cheesecake (that is nothing like our typical American greasy and heavy full of sugar cheesecake), but with very well balanced and sophisticated flavors, refreshing and above all not too sweet; the second desert was the owners specialty: again, off the menu, white cake with creamy, yet light texture (almost like muss) in combination with caramelized walnuts - something truly special. But all these tasty and exceptional dishes wouldn't be such magic without Dubravka's and Zvonko's endless hospitality and foods knowledge, their talent for this business is unprecedented. In other words, besides of a very unique, additives free and natural foods we all yearn for in today's mass food industry, you are treated by the owners not only as a guest, but as a family: they are always very discrete, with a sense for a perfect timing for every course, very carrying and kind. Whether you are planning a simple meal or a bigger event like ours, this is a perfect choice! Konoba Visnja is exactly what we were looking for - it is tranquil, with a traditional and authentic food and exceptional service. Not 5, but 6 stars!
