Aaaaahhhh Rome... walking through the streets listening to the evening chitter chatter, watching locals communicating half through their hands and fingers and ignoring peddlers on the street selling sphere balls that splatter on the ground while making a dying lamb sound. Best of all, getting away from the tourist hustle and bustle by walking through the small dimly lit post sunset alleys of Rome hearing forks clinking against plates in distant osterias; something which cannot be described in this Yelp review. What I can describe though, is a small alley Osteria which needed no advertisement as the few tables outside under some trees was enough to taunt our senses and draw us in like moths to a flame. For the next three hours, we enjoyed crisp white wine that ended up being too delicious to only have one bottle, pasta dishes cooked perfectly, and an evening of lightly romantic conversation. Was the place fancy? No Did they have special things on the menu? Not really... just the main things What sets it apart from others in the neighborhood? Nothing much... Then why did you go? Gut feeling and the magic we felt walking passed it I don't see many reviews so the yelpfish (selfish) side of me would like to have my Roman alley hidden osteria to myself. However, my unselfish want to share all that is gastronomically good in this world, would like to showcase this unpresuming, no frills, just good food and wine Osteria in the heart of Rome.
