Disappointing experience from all points of view: we have previously eaten several times at Jacques, and the chef had accustomed us to very innovative dishes, with freshness and nice acidity in his dishes. Last night, apart from a nice starter around tomatoes and melon, the dishes were very very classic, without inventiveness, almost wintery when we were expecting freshness. And the leaf-by-leaf vegetable dish was totally overcooked, mushy, very confusing, tastes that didn't blend together, a failure. The dish was only half eaten. Any appetizers, sweets with a rancid taste (chocolate). Add to that a flute of champagne served half-heartedly with the bottom of the bottle without any bubbles (we had to insist on having a new flute) and an unfriendly, very academic and approximate service. The fact that it is the last evening before their vacation does not excuse anything. The chef, when we told him about it, was obviously not used to negative criticism and did not react more than that. At the time of the bill, no commercial gesture for all these hiccups. An address where we are not going to return soon even though we have often recommended it. Here we are going to rather advise against it. I recently had the opportunity to have lunch at the Jacques restaurant and I must say that I was delighted with my experience. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived, with warm and attentive staff. The restaurant's decor was sleek and modern, creating a pleasant ambiance. As for the food, the dishes were delicious and prepared with care. I opted for the daily menu and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ingredients and the artistic presentation of the plates. Every bite was a real treat for the taste buds In summary, my visit to Jacques Restaurant for lunch was a memorable experience.
