Sono andata in questo ristorante: una vera trappola per turisti. I piatti non erano buoni ed erano anche esteticamente terribili. Sono uscita ancora affamata perché, anche dopo aver chiesto del pane, ci è stato servito raffermo. In più, siamo corse e parliamo francese, e il cameriere ha fatto commenti fuori luogo, che rasentano persino il razzismo, soprattutto quando ho semplicemente provato a dire “per mè” nella loro lingua madre. I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at Il Vicolo Nel Corso. We stopped by while food hopping and decided to order one carbonara to share so we could try multiple places. From the very beginning, the waiter had an incredibly rude and judgmental attitude. He questioned our order repeatedly, saying things like “only this?” and insisting it wouldn’t be enough, as if it was any of his business how we choose to eat. When the dish arrived, he didn’t even bother bringing an extra plate for us to share. As for the carbonara it was absolutely terrible. There was no proper pecorino flavor, and it was overloaded with egg whites. It honestly tasted like plain pasta mixed with scrambled eggs. We each took one bite and immediately knew something was wrong. We politely told the waiter that this was not how carbonara should be and that we would not be eating it or paying for it. Instead of addressing the issue, he dismissively told us that it was “our problem” if we didn’t like the food. He then brought another waiter over, who was just as rude. Rather than listening to our complaint, he ignored it and started asking where we were from. When we said that wasn’t relevant, he responded with “from Israel? Shalom, shalom?” which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. In the end, we felt pressured into paying and leaving. As we were leaving, we warned other customers nearby about our experience. The waiter overheard us and arrogantly responded, “that’s what people say when they don’t have money to eat.” Between the awful food, the disrespectful service, and the completely unprofessional behavior, this place is a disgrace. Avoid at all costs. Food: 1 Service: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20
