Wonderful hotel and great experience. Hotel is optimally located in Ouchy - close to the metro and on a beautiful spot adjacent to the lake. The room and facilities were well maintained, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. We would certainly stay here again! Service: 5

Checking out today this hotel very pleasing, the rooms were huge as I got two suites, the location was amazing considering it was 2 minutes walking distance from the metro and 10 minute walking distance to the Olympic museum. The only problem was that the eggs we order at breakfast take around 20 minutes. The hotel is very clean and neat. Service: 4

What was meant to be a nice weekend getaway was a disaster. Our room at Hotel Angleterre looked like it wasn’t renovated for years with holes in the curtains and chips on the wooden desk. There was barely a lake view but everyone had a nice view into our room. If we closed the blinds it felt like we were in a prison. No charm at all - despite the descriptions online. The hotel offered us a drink at Chateau d’Ouchy Bar to watch the fireworks - they were absolutely rude to us! The serveurs had no manners and were not helpful at all. We didn’t stay. The restaurant Accademia in the Hotel Angleterre was even worse considering they are part of the hotel. We had to argue to have the offered drink or even buy a dessert. The director also spoke to us very poorly. Again no manners at all. Surely one should treat hotel guests better. We left the hotel right away, without spending the night, not to be surrounded by such bad ambiance and energy. We will never recommend it to anyone. The receptionist did her best: hopefully she will transfer our dissatisfaction to management. Rooms: 1 Service: 1
