We stayed at the Simmenhof on our Via Alpina trek. The hotel is just far enough outside of Lenk to make it inconvenient, although there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and it's a 25 minute walk into town. It is located in a more agricultural area, which meant beautiful views of the valley but a noticeable smell of manure. The staff was for the most part welcoming and accommodating. The space felt dated but it was comfortable. It seemed like they are gradually renovating the whole hotel so maybe this will improve. The half board dinner was delicious. Service: 4
