Bellissima posizione per chi piace camminare. È vicino alla stazione e come location è strategica per visitare Schilthorn, jungfrau e le cascate. La colazione era buonissima, pure la cena.

My fiancé and I were really looking forward to our stay at Hotel Silberhorn, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. After spending the day hiking, we returned to our room around 6 PM and found many small brownish-red bugs crawling in the bed. We were able to spot around 15 bugs after a quick glance, they were clearly visible on the white bedding. We were alarmed and unsure how to handle the situation, so we brought a video down to the front desk to ask for help. We didn’t want to make a scene to alarm other guests, so we tried to be as calm and quiet as when we could when talking to the staff. What stood out the most from this situation (even more than the bugs) was the dismissive response from the staff. There was no empathy, no apology, and no effort to make us feel heard or offer any sort of reassurance or possible solution. Instead, I was asked if we left the window open. We had arrived early that day just to place our bags in the room, but we did not actually spend any time in the room or touch anything until the evening after our day of hiking. After about 20 minutes of us sitting in the room is when we noticed the bugs. We were planning on leaving for Zurich early the next morning, but given the situation we asked the front desk staff if we could be refunded for our room so that we could just move on and take a late train to Zurich that night. The staff did refund us a portion of our hotel fee, however we were told that we’d still be charged a portion of the fee for cleaning and since they would be unable to book the room that day. It seemed that the staff was most concerned with just trying to potentially rebook the room for different guests that night. They did not seem to have any concern regarding the bugs in the room, which was disappointing. We didn’t feel comfortable staying, so we left and booked a hotel in Zurich that same night. While we were refunded part of the fee, we believe a full refund would’ve been fair given the situation and the inconvenience it caused. The hotel overall is in a great location, and the rooms and lobby did all look nice. This was most likely a rare, unlucky situation, but dismissiveness from the staff was concerning. The lack of basic customer care was what disappointed us the most, and unfortunately, that’s what we’ll remember from our stay.
