Abbiamo soggiornato 9 giorni al Hotel Royal lo staff da 110 e lode gentilissimo e simpaticissimo il cibo ottimo e abbondante ci siamo trovati benissimo ci torneremo Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

I share my "mediocre", so to speak, experience. Aesthetically, the hotel also presents itself very well: equipped with an external veranda with tables, two dining rooms (one large and another small), parking, swimming pool, spacious rooms, but suffers from a lack of organisation. The swimming pool is sunny, but has few sunbeds and is practically always occupied by customers who leave their towels and occupy them without using them. The bathing establishment is included in the price of the stay, you just need to cross the beach to find yourself submerged with umbrellas attached to each other, preventing you from being able to move your sunbed more than a few centimeters so as not to invade the space of the customers next to you. Chasing the shadow of your own umbrella was an arduous, if not impossible, undertaking, without avoiding invading other people's spaces. Parking chapter: we were immediately informed that it would not be available to park the car on those days, both in the estimate and as soon as we arrived at the hotel by the receptionist. However, we noticed that in the car park (which, as it is located in the back, can be seen from the hotel staircase) there were numerous spaces available, even in the afternoon. Therefore we asked the afternoon receptionist if we could leave the car inside, even just for a few days (even with a supplement). We were told yes but only for a day and a half because it would then fill up with arrivals in the following days. When we were forced to remove the car it was Saturday morning, we were then able to notice that for the following DAY AND A HALF (Until Sunday afternoon) there were numerous places available. Why have it removed then? Catering chapter: on the first day they crowded us into a tiny table, because the maitre d' probably had the day off and therefore they weren't organised, we waited an eternity for both lunch and dinner because we didn't have any waiter assigned. From the following day they moved us to a bigger table with more than one waiter serving us. The sore point now comes: one evening the hot water was no longer available after 7pm (in 2023 this is unthinkable) and according to the reception they were aware of this and they replied that around 8pm the water she would return. She didn't return until around 11pm and we were forced to take a freezing shower and hurry up so we could go to dinner. At dinner the waiter informed us that, since we had come down late, he could no longer guarantee that he would serve us a dish of our choice. Be careful though: dinner time is 7.45pm-8.30pm and we were perfectly within the indicated range, albeit at the limit. To top it off, the last two days our table together with that of the others adjacent to us were literally piled up in order to allow other tables to enter the room (the mid-August holiday was coming). Believe it or not but I couldn't get behind me with the chair because it was blocked by another customer's chair and to my right I had a table not even 40cm away, 0 privacy. Not a positive experience, a shame because the hotel looks good, the rooms are very spacious and equipped with all comforts: air conditioning, mini bar, very large balcony with outdoor table and chairs. The only problem: the soundproofing, the hotel is located next to a well-known evening club so until 2/3 in the morning you could hear loud music even though the windows were closed, as they were old wooden window frames from the 1980s.
