Had SUCH a wonderful experience at Hoppla! Staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is small so feels very cosy. There is only one chef (so sometimes wait times were a little long for the food), but made for a very relaxed evening. Food was all INCREDIBLE. Beef goulash was flavourful, duck was tender and the cabbage pasta that came with it was unlike any I’ve tried before. Good drink selection too. Cannot recommend Hoppla enough! Lovely little Hungarian restaurant that feels very much like a family-run spot. I had one of the best duck French dishes I’ve ever tried—rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service can be a bit uneven at times, as they seem short on staff, so orders don’t always go in first-come-first-serve and food might take a little longer even if you arrive earlier. Still, the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. With some improvements in service, this place could be truly outstanding. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
