We have been traveling in Italy for one week and this is the BEST meal we have had on our entire vacation. Make sure you call for a reservation or go to the fork.it link because the Google reservation link does not work. As most of the reviews, for this restaurant, many of us just stumbled across this gem, as they don’t have a website and haven’t been written up in blogs. On a hot and sunny Sunday I went to lunch at Gioia Cucina di terra in Salerno. Everything was perfect... we sat inside the room because the temperature outside was almost 40 degrees. The kind and highly professional staff made us sit at our table and we took a look at the menu. The dishes are mostly traditional but with innovative notes where the chef's great professionalism can be glimpsed. We had a parmigiana as an appetizer, some tagliolini with asparagus and bacon, tasted an excellent fillet with green pepper and finally some chocolate ice cream with chopped amaretti biscuits and chocolate beans. Everything perfect...and above all delicious! I wouldn't recommend it to you... for one reason only: maybe next time I won't find a place... but instead go there and let all of them delight you and advise you... you won't regret it!
